A Literacy Narrative is essentially “your story” as a reader. Think about how you first learned to read, any initial favorite books/stories, impact of school on you as a reader.
Remember, the goal is to tell a story!
This should be about 2 pages in length.
The title changed about what you going to write about.
Introduction: Must include a story to interest the
reader to go further
Each body paragraph must tell one point of the
story (not all points) and needs specific details.
Remember, you MUST SHOW ME! As a reader, I
was not present during the time this event
happened.
Conclusion: Must sum up why this event was
important, what the reader can learn from your
experience, etc.
A well-told story
The story must start with a situation and the reader needs
to read the entire essay to see how it resolved (Think
about it like a movie or TV show)
Vivid detail
SHOW ME! Really think about Who, What, When, Where,
Why, and How
Think about how to engage the reader’s 5 senses (smell,
touch, taste, hear, see)
Some indication of why this story is important
Make clear why this story matters to you and what the
reader can relate to or gain from this knowledge
Place an order in 3 easy steps. Takes less than 5 mins.
