The purpose of this case study is to apply the concepts of teamwork as well as barriers to teamwork and goal achievement in quality improvement projects. The student will describe the steps in building a team to improve the process. This will also include how the team process with be assessed and monitored. This should include at a minimum:
1. Gaining interprofessional department buy-in for the quality improvement project
2. Formation of a team with appropriate membership from all affected professions
3. Strategies which will be used if team conflict develops
The description should be in the form of a 3-5 page paper. The paper should be in APA format with a title page, double spaced, 12 pt font, and citations and references to support your thoughts. Title and reference pages are NOT included in the page count.
