Details about the hw: It’s a proposal project. it’s just brainstorming ideas and then picking a video (YouTube or TEDx) it doesn’t have to be long or deep, anything that has an impact on the audience will work. There’s 2 parts, the first one is choosing the Video and I will add the details to that, and the second part is the actual project. And they need to be same topic/video for both. Choose something easy and good because later in course I will write an essay about it :))
Important notes:
Please write in a very simple English (I’m a second language learner)
Short and neat. It will be posted on discussion page so no worries about anything
word count doesn’t need to be more than 300 words
Please separate P1 and P2 because they both will be posted separately but I was late on first one

In an original post, complete the following:
Post a multimodal text you are thinking you might like to analyze. You can post a picture right into Canvas, or you can provide us with a link (just make sure the link words before posting). Make a list of everything you notice in the multimodal text, using the elements and language relevant to your media. Be as objective as possible, listing only concrete details you notice in the text.
Freewrite about your immediate reactions to the multimodal text. How does it make you feel? Why? Connect your answers to some of the elements listed in step one.
Freewrite about the message you feel the multimodal text is sending about society.
Look over your list and your freewrite and look for connections and themes that emerge.
Select one theme and use this theme to create a central question about your text. Here are some example questions:What message does this ad send about the role of women in today’s society?
How does the narrative and cinematic elements work together in this film to oversimplify romantic relationships?
How does the editing, camera angle, and music work together to create an exaggerated sense of good and bad in this reality television show?
Does this song promote violence or is it criticizing violent media? What elements reveal this perspective?

What central question are you considering using to address your multimodal text?
What elements from the multimodal text will be relevant evidence in your essay? Hint: Think back to the diagram of the elements of multimodality. Which elements (linguistic, spatial, gestural, visual, aural) are the most compelling/effective in your multimodal text. Do not simply list how you see each of these elements in your text; rather, show us how the text is working through a discussion of those modes.
