Short answer:

(1) Research Purpose: The purpose of this qualitative research study is to investigate the influence of non-profit organizations on policy related to immigration. The study aims to explore the strategies employed by non-profit organizations to shape policy on immigration and how these organizations interact with policymakers. Through this study, we seek to gain a deeper understanding of the role of non-profit organizations in shaping immigration policy and their impact on policy outcomes.

(2) Rationale: The increasing influence of non-profit organizations on policymaking processes is a significant topic in contemporary politics. Non-profit organizations play a critical role in shaping policy debates and decisions, particularly in areas where there are disagreements between different interest groups. In the case of immigration, non-profit organizations have become influential players in shaping policy, advocating for the rights of immigrants and pushing for more inclusive policies. This study seeks to understand how non-profit organizations influence policy decisions and to provide insights into the strategies and mechanisms that these organizations use to shape policy.
