You are now an OD consulting applying the organizational change theories and concepts you are learning here in the class. As you know, OD Consultants are hired when an organization that isn’t working up to its potential is in danger of failing. An organizational development consultant is an independent contractor who is trained to enter an organization and develop a plan to make it healthy and profitable.
Read the Toyota cases provided by clicking on the 4 internet links at the bottom of the instructions document found here and at the Course Resources. Multiple links have been provided for multiple cases and summaries since the providers may make them inactive at times. Also, you are encouraged to explore other Toyota cases in your independent research in the Keiser Library.
The instructions in the document you download include questions PLUS example answers to help stimulate your thinking. The provided answers are not the complete answer to the posed questions. You are expected to simply use these answers to help stimulate your analytical thinking and analysis. Build on them just as an OD Consultant would. Completely answer the questions asked in the instructions. You may agree or disagree with the example answers. In every case, make an argument for your position based on your reading and independent research. It is your argument and support for what you say that will earn you the best grade on this assignment.
