For this essay you will use what you have learned in the course through discussions, reading the textbook, and by reading the documents found in Chapter 24 of The American Yawp Documents Reader.
Write a research essay of a least 4 FULL pages answering the following questions. (Please use Times New Roman 12pt font, and double-space your essay). You should begin with a title page and end with a bibliography page for a total of six pages minimum.
Consider the experience of Japanese Americans in WWII America. What factors led to Japanese internment during WWII? Discuss the experience of those who were in the internment camps. What role did racism play in the treatment of Japanese Americans during WWII? What lesson can we take from this experience?
You must cite all of your sources using Chicago citation–that is a footnote for each quote and a bibliography page at the end of your paper listing all four of your sources in correct Chicago format. You will need to cite the two primary documents related to Japanese Americans in the link above. You must also find two additional sources from this site to provide additional evidence for your response.
