Part 2: creating portfolio
You are in the early stages of creating an ePortfolio for this class. Although there will be specific requirements (to be revealed at a later date) that you will need to include in your ePortfolio for this course, you should be thinking beyond the course requirements to create a living, breathing portfolio that will continue to serve you as you progress in your capstone course, your education, and your career. This forum provides an opportunity to converse with your peers about portfolios, share ideas, and begin planning your approach to your own portfolio.
Please respond to the following questions in your first post:
1. You have read about portfolios in this lesson. Please explain what you would like to accomplish by creating your own portfolio (i.e., purpose). Describe artifacts you think will be important to include in order to achieve this purpose.
2. One of the greatest attributes of the portfolio is its potential for focusing on the processes of learning. What does this statement mean to you and what processes do you think will be involved in creating your portfolio? Who will be involved in these processes (besides yourself)?
3. Describe at least one possible pitfall or mistake you think could occur when creating your portfolio. How could you avoid such a pitfall?
4. Share any additional thoughts or comments you have about ePortfolios.
